Storyhop tells interactive audio adventures that pause and ask your child what to do. They answer out loud, and the story listens. A screen-free, choose-your-own-adventure listening app for kids ages 3–8, built as native iOS and Android apps.
How It Works
Storyhop is storytime where the child decides what happens next. A warm narrator brings each adventure to life while the screen stays calm and dark, leaving nothing to watch and everything to imagine.
1. Press play & listen
Professionally narrated audio carries the story, with no videos and no flashing animations. Perfect for storytime and quiet time.
2. The story asks
"Do you follow the jungle path, or walk along the beach?" At every decision point, two choices appear as big, friendly picture buttons.
3. They answer out loud
The child just says their choice, or taps a picture. The adventure branches and carries on, shaped by them.
Every choice branches the story, so the same adventure ends differently each time.
The Launch Adventures
Storyhop launched with four free, hand-illustrated, fully narrated adventures, each with its own branching story graph.
Woodland Walk
A gentle walk through a sunny, friendly woodland with cute animals, puddle splashes, and little wonders. Ages 3–5.
A Day at the Lake
Join two brothers and their parents for a day of swimming and exploring by a beautiful Maine lake. Ages 4–8.
Island Adventure
Explore a mysterious tropical island full of hidden treasure, sea turtles, and jungle friends. Ages 5–8.
Build & Race
Build your very own race car by picking the body, wheels, and special features, then race it on amazing tracks. Ages 4–6.
All four launch adventures are free, and premium story bundles will be available to purchase in the shop. A content-pack pipeline lets new bundles arrive without shipping a new app build.
Built for Parents
An app for three-year-olds has to earn the trust of their grown-ups, so Storyhop's guarantees are designed in from the start rather than bolted on.
Voice stays on the device
Speech recognition listens only at choice moments, and nothing the child says is stored or sent anywhere.
Parental gate on every purchase
Kids can't buy anything by accident. The shop sits behind an adults-only check, and iOS "Ask to Buy" is fully supported.
